Purchase your timed ticket online before you visit. Timed ticketing is in effect. Although advance bookings are not required, walk-up admission is subject to availability. We recommend that you buy tickets in advance, to guarantee you’ll be able to enter the Museum at your preferred time.
Masking is recommended inside the Museum.
Royal Tyrrell Museum Cooperating Society members are asked to pre-book their free timed tickets either by logging into their accounts through the Museum's website, or by contacting our Membership Department at 403-820-6222 or email@example.com.
All other pass holders eligible for discounts or free tickets must purchase advance tickets online at full price, then present their pass/card and payment card at the entrance on the day they visit to receive the applicable refund.
Please note: The last daily ticket time for Museum entry is 3:30 p.m., with no admission after 4:00 p.m. (Sept. 1 – May 14).
The last daily ticket time during summer hours, May 15 – August 31, is 7:30 p.m., with no admission past 8:00 p.m.

Advance tickets are required for free admission to the Museum for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend, June 3 – 5, 2022.
Admission for adults 65+ is free for Seniors' Week, June 6 – 12, 2022.
If you arrive earlier or later than your ticket time, you may be re-booked for the current time, subject to availability. Please inquire with our Visitor Services staff.

Pass holders entitled to free tickets (e.g., CFOne card holders, registered Canoo participants, EAHP pass holders) and individuals eligible for the discounts below must purchase advance tickets online at full price. New Canadian citizens can register for Canoo,which allows free access to participating institutions (including the Royal Tyrrell Museum) for one year from the day they receive citizenship. Pre-purchased tickets required.
