As we carefully welcome visitors to the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology with enhanced safety measures in place, physical distancing is required, and masks are mandatory. 

Visitors over the age of two are required to wear a face mask inside the Royal Tyrrell Museum. Under Town of Drumheller bylaw 20.20, face coverings must be worn at all times while in indoor public spaces, effective November 23, 2020. Visit the Town of Drumheller website for details.

Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Closed Mondays, except holidays

Purchase your timed ticket online well in advance of your visit. Walk-up admission is subject to availability.

AMA/CAA discount can be applied online using code “AMA.” Royal Tyrrell Museum Cooperating Society Members are asked to contact membership@tyrrellmuseum.ca or 403-820-6222 to book tickets and discounted guest passes, and access program offers. All others entitled to discounts and free tickets (including Experience Alberta’s History Pass holders) are asked to contact our Bookings Office at tyrrell.bookings@gov.ab.ca or 403-820-6246. On the day you visit, you will need to show your pass/coupon/card when you pick up your tickets at the entrance.

If you arrive earlier or later than your ticket time, you may be re-booked for the current time, subject to availability. Please inquire with our Visitor Services staff.

Your ticket is good for one entry into the Museum. You are welcome to stay until your visit is complete, but note that once you exit the building, you will not be allowed to re-enter.

The last daily ticket time for entry into the Museum is 3:30 p.m.
