Burgess Shale

Explore a 505-million-year-old underwater world. This colourful, immersive exhibit features 46 creatures from the Burgess Shale, one of the most important fossil resources ever discovered. The original site, located at Yoho National Park in British Columbia, was once home to over 140 species of soft-bodied marine organisms.

These models depict the creatures of the Burgess Shale at 12 times their actual size.
