Search for and touch real fossils, and learn about ancient Alberta, as your expert guide leads you through the badlands.


Please Note:

Children under 12 must be accompanied by a paid adult registered in the program.

Wheelchairs and strollers are not permitted due to the uneven terrain.

Summer 2024 (June 28 – August 31; daily):  9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m.
Fall 2024 (September 1 – October 14): Weekdays (Tuesday – Friday), 11:00 a.m.
                                                              Weekends and holiday Mondays, 10:15 a.m.

Program Schedules



Summer in Alberta's badlands can be very hot, often reaching 30°C. However, cool, cloudy, windy, and rainy days are possible. Bring clothing suitable for a range of conditions, including:



Sturdy walking shoes or hiking boots (flip flops, sandals, etc. are not permitted on hikes)

A water bottle (mandatory on outdoor programs when the temperature is over 28°C)
