Mammals: Into the Ice Age

Explore the mammals that evolved after the extinction of the dinosaurs, and find out how these ancient beasts adapted as North America’s climate changed from tropical to an ice age! Using real fossils from our collection, you will see some familiar favourites such as the mastodon and giant ground sloth, but you’ll also meet some new mega-mammals, including the bear-sized pantodont and the armoured glyptodont!

Session 1 (Grades K-3): Tuesday, January 26, 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. MST
Session 2 (Grades K-3): Wednesday, January 27, 9:00 – 9:45 a.m. MST 
Session 3 (Grades 4+): Wednesday, January 27, 2:00 – 2:45 p.m. MST
Session 4 (Grades 4+): Thursday, January 28, 11:00 – 11:45 a.m. MST

Please Note:

This is a multi-school event conducted through Zoom. There will be no audio or video from participants. 
Registration for all dates closes January 22, 2021. Virtual at-home learners will be accommodated.
