Bookings Assistant (Seasonal)

The Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology relies on motivated individuals who enjoy interacting with people from around the world and providing excellent customer service.  Our Bookings team provides a quality guest experience, ensuring the visitors’ first and last impression is memorable.
The Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Seasonal Bookings Assistant who will predominately work in the Royal Tyrrell Museum’s Bookings Office assisting visitors and groups with pre-registration via phone or email. This position will also periodically support the Admissions team in the front of house assisting Museum visitors in-person. 


Qualifications:

  • Computer skills and willingness to learn new computer applications
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service 
  • Superior organizational and time-management skills
  • Detail oriented and ability to problem solve 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced professional environment
  • Outgoing and friendly nature 

Assets:

  • Cash handling experience
  • Multi-lingual 
  • First aid certification

Terms: April 4, 2022 to August 31, 2022; Thursday to Monday; 8:45 am to 5:00 pm. 

Salary: Based on skill and experience

*Fully vaccinated means having received all of the recommended number of doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, or a combination of COVID-19 vaccines, approved by Health Canada to produce an immune response to COVID-19 (i.e., at least two doses of a two-dose vaccine, or one dose of a single-dose vaccine) and at least 14 days have lapsed since the date on which the person received the last of the recommended doses.
**Health Canada approved tests (PCR and point of care antigen test) administered by a health care professional (at home test kits are not acceptable).
