Behind the scenes at the Royal Tyrrell Museum lies our greatest resource—the research collections. Over 160,000 fossil vertebrates, invertebrates, plants and geologic specimens, including over 350 holotypes, have been catalogued. These collections are among the richest in the world. As an active scientific research facility, it’s hardly surprising that the collections grow by over 2,000 specimens annually.
