EnCana Badlands Science Camp

Live the dream.

Learn basic geology, prospect for real dinosaur fossils, and contribute to the ongoing research at the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology by participating in amazing hands-on science projects. Do all this while sleeping in teepees in the breathtaking Alberta badlands.

Encana Badlands Science Camp offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for young scientists to get a taste of real palaeontology. Each camp is geared to meet the expectations and abilities of youth aged 9-12 and 13-16 years. And our Citizen Science Family Camp allows parents to share their love for ancient Alberta with their own children.

*The Royal Tyrrell Museum thanks Encana for its ongoing support.

The Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology, operated by the Alberta Ministry of Culture and Tourism, would like to thank Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development for granting use of land in Midland Provincial Park for the Encana Badlands Science camps. The camps will implement responsible environmental practices to protect this unique and beautiful landscape.
