Museum Expansion

We’re going to be under construction this summer! A 1300 m2 expansion to our building, funded by the Government of Alberta’s Capital Plan, will take place soon. We will be open regular seasonal hours, and there will be no impact on our current exhibits.

Slated to open in spring 2019, the expansion will include a hands-on learning space, a visitor rest area mid-way through the Museum, barrier-free and gender neutral washrooms, additional classrooms, an expanded Distance Learning studio, and a multipurpose space for conferences, large meetings and social gatherings.

In the meantime, we will be open regular seasonal hours, and there will be no impact on our current exhibits.

The upper visitor parking lot will be impacted during construction. However, there will be plenty of parking spaces available in the lower lot. To access the lower parking lot, follow the signs from the upper lot, or take the second or third road on the right, just past the main entrance.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause as we continue to evolve.
